SWP Decaf Peruvian *Pure (organic) Light Roast

When looking for a great-tasting decaffeinated coffee, SWP pulls out all of the stops!

You will not even know you're drinking a decaf coffee!

We use only water, temperature, and time to gently remove caffeine while preserving all the coffee’s original characteristics. This seal means you’re getting the very best cup of decaf, free of chemicals or residual processing flavors.

This Peruvian coffee delivers the flavor you never thought possible for a decaf coffee. It rated a 7 by our staff, and that's pretty high marks considering its decaf!

The dry grounds smell like lovely sweet pipe tobacco! The brewed aroma gives you a malty nutty and slightly dry sense.

Tasting Notes: Mellow berry and hibiscus flavors mixed up with smooth brown sugar. The acidity is very gentle and sweet with a medium body and a moderate fresh finish.

You will notice immediately how dark this coffee is, but don't be fooled! Did you know that decaf coffees start out as a dark color because of the processing? So even though they are roasted less time, they still look like a dark roast.  They also roast differently than non-decaf coffees. Check out the side-by-side color comparison. One is an UNROASTED Decaf (the dark one) and the other (the lighter one) is an UNROASTED regular Peruvian.

We consider this coffee a light roast, but the color looks very dark. You can judge for yourself based on the flavor. We have added it in all of the categories to cover our bases.

Notes:  Berry, hibiscus, nuts, brown sugar, smooth, mellow.

Body: Medium

Balance: Sweet & delicate

Acidity is the brightness that coffee offers. Some palates register this as sour or tangy. Some delight in its fruity complexities.

Balanced coffees does not overpower with either brightness or boldness. It will be the most complex in flavor, giving you the sweetest flavors. It will give you a nutty depth and spice of a dark roast with a gentler acidity to round out the flavors of the coffee.
